I don‘t know what to say and I want to say so much at the same time. The courage you have to write all that down is impressive, inspiring and astounding for someone like me (who has buried similar experiences for so long). It is also painful and triggers a few of my own memories when I was a young naive girl who believed in the good and wanted to fit in. I am turning fifty this year too, but I doubt I am ready to talk about those teenage years of mine anytime soon. But I think it is so important to talk about, because you and I are surely not the only ones. You are not only speaking up for yourself, but for me and a lot of other women too!
