This is a well researched piece, Daphne, thank you. I've been sitting on my own newsletter about AI and all my conflicting feelings about it. The writing's on the wall of where we're headed and there's no stopping it. The world is going to change so much in the next few years.
Thanks, Jenna. I always appreciate the way you think and write and look forward to your post on the topic. No one knows exactly what’s coming, but it’s clear there’s no going back. A broader conversation (outside of tech) seems needed so we can learn from each other and feel less alone amid the uncertainty.
I appreciate this thorough inquiry. And agree with you, we need to be equally curious and cautious. And want to believe that humans can and will find a way to utilize this powerful tool to benefit society, humans, the earth… maybe this it s naive?
Thank you, Kimberly, for sharing! I don’t think optimism is naive. I’m excited about how AI can help transform our sick care system into one that’s more accessible and focused on whole health, with more meaningful outcomes. We’ll still need ethically trained practitioners and technology developed with a human-first approach. So work like you do is so important! I so appreciate your mission to amplify real human experiences that are often overlooked.
I love your reply Daphne, there is great potential with AI and healthcare (and also earth care/climate change problems.) And when we marry it with human-centered approaches, using storytelling as a moral/ethical guide and teacher, then we could have sone very powerful outcomes!
